January Gratitude and Lessons

Happy February! January was a free trial month right? While a few parts were rough, I’ve decided to keep my subscription to 2019.

In January I Was Grateful…

  • to still be on winter break from school
  • for sweatshirts and sweatpants
  • for grocery delivery through Instacart
  • for Chloe
  • that I was able to spend the weekend with my boyfriend in Baltimore
  • and that it didn’t snow or rain the entire weekend
  • that my parents shoveled my driveway for me
  • that my parents watched Chloe while I was away
  • that I was able to get a jump for my car
  • for warmth during the #PolarVortex2019

In January I Learned…

  • to move slower and more intentionally
  • that it’s okay to feel discouraged sometimes
  • that one person can have a big impact
  • it’s okay if that thing you tried didn’t work
  • to ask more questions
  • if you have the chance to be happy, you should take it
  • to keep talking, even if it feels like no one is listening
  • that you can be consistent and take breaks at the same time
  • inspiration can come from many different places
  • if you’ve had a bad service experience, you should let them know
Gratitude journaling is one way that I practice self-care as well as thinking about what I've learned through the month. Read this to learn more about how you can practice gratitude journaling and what I was grateful for in the month of January.
