About

Hi there! I’m Briana Hollis. Welcome to Learning to Be Free.

To me, Learning To Be Free means taking a deep look into yourself, figuring out what ways you’re limiting your life, and taking intentional steps forward to living the way you want.

I’m here to share my experiences (including personal ones) and bring you tips and resources about self-care, self-discovery, and self-improvement to help you achieve your goals and live the life you deserve.

I created Learning to Be Free because for a very long time I lived my life and based a lot of my decisions on how others would perceive me.  I was satisfied with my life, but not truly living it the way that I wanted to or the way that I deserved.  I eventually decided to take my life into my own hands and gained an immense amount of freedom in all areas of my life.

So who am I?

I’m a licensed social worker and higher education professional that has worked with hundreds of clients and students, helping them figure out how to live their best lives through mental health, career, and education support.  I have an MS in Social Administration (social work) and a M.Ed in Higher Education Administration. I completed my life coaching certification in August 2019. I’m also the author of multiple guided journals. You can check out my Amazon author page here

Other than that professional stuff, I love all things Marvel (I have a huge soft spot for Captain America <3), watching documentaries, traveling, spending time with my family, and playing with my cat Chloe.
