I’m super excited that I was nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award by my friend Corinne at CVR Life of Learning. The Sunshine Blogger Award is given to bloggers by to bloggers.
I created my blog back in October 2018 and so far I’ve met so many wonderful and creative people that have inspired me, listened to me vent, and helped me along the way. Being a blogger is not only about writing but being a part of a larger community.

What made you decide to start your blog/business?
I started my blog because I was feeling frustrated and stunted in my career. I wanted to do something that was just for me but I wasn’t exactly sure what that thing was. I decided to talk to a life coach and she helped me to figure out how I wanted to expand my life. So happy I did!
Who/What is your biggest inspiration?
I think my parents are my biggest inspiration. They’ve always supported me in everything that I’ve done, even if they didn’t always like my decisions. I strive to be like them and hope that I can give my future children the same support and love.
Which job would you love but be terrible at?
When I was younger, I wanted to be a paleontologist. However, I hate getting dirty, insects, and being hot. So I would be the absolute last person anyone would want to go on a dig with.
What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?
I think that everyone should travel alone at least once in their lives. Traveling alone is my preferred way to travel. I love to be able to do what I want, when I want, and not have to worry about if someone isn’t interested in what I want to do. The first time I did anything solo was going to the aquarium in Paris because no one wanted to go with me. It’s a liberating experience to do something on your own, especially in a foreign country.
What are some small, simple, everyday things that make you happy?
I love the smell of rain and fresh cut grass. I love when my cat greets me at the door when I come home (though she’s usually meowing at me because she wants to eat). Other things that make me happy: warm towels, notebooks, nice pens, waking up without an alarm, journaling.
What are you looking most forward to in the next 10 years?
I don’t have any specifics, but I’m looking forward to continuing to grow my blog, my coaching business, and continuing on my self-discovery journey.
What is your favorite fairy tale and why?
It would probably be Beauty and the Beast. I was obsessed with the movie when I was younger. I had Belle’s ballgown and would make my dad dance with me. I think Belle was smart, selfless, and brave. It still means a lot to me. I cried when I saw the live-action movie in theaters.
If you could have a superpower what would it be?
I would want either telekinesis or teleportation (ideally both!). They’d both me super helpful because I could get a lot more done and go to more places. I would travel a lot more if I could teleport. They’d also be helpful because of my chronic pain, so I could still travel and do things without having to worry about exacerbating it.
If you could only ever travel to one country, what would it be?
It would probably be the UK (even though I’ve never been…yet!). I love the architecture, the culture, and the history that’s there. I’m obsessed with the Tudor dynasty so being able to walk where they walked and see what they saw would be incredible.
Which fictional place would you like to go?
I would love to go to Middle Earth. The Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit (books and movies) were integral to my childhood. I would like to be an elf and live there forever. I’d bring my family and my partner (and our pets) with me.
There are two types of people in this world. What are the two types?
There are two types of people in the world: people who like pineapple on pizza and people who are wrong 🙂
