May Gratitude and Lessons

Happy June! May was an exciting month for me that was full of a lot of traveling.

In May I Was Grateful…

  • that I was able to spend some time in person with my co-workers
  • for my cat Chloe
  • that my parents and sister were able to take care of Chloe while I was traveling
  • that I was able to go to London for free to help people in crisis
  • that I was able to stay in a variety of different hotels in different areas of London
  • that I was able to take a day trip to Stonehedge, Bath, and Lacock
  • that even though my chronic pain limits me, I was still able to have fun while traveling
  • that I was able to have afternoon tea with some of my team
  • that I was able to take a cruise down the Thames
  • that I was able to try some traditional British food
  • to be home after two weeks of traveling

In May I Learned…

  • that you don’t have to subscribe to other’s perceptions of you
  • to not let people occupy your peace for their benefit
  • it’s okay to lean on others for support
  • to ask smart questions
  • to admit to and learn from mistakes
  • not get complacent
  • to use my employer to my benefit
  • things aren’t always the way that they appear
  • the importance of language
  • being disciplined takes time and effort
